Got coerced by the forces of evil (that being Danielle, Sarah and Maggie) into going out tonight. One of the girls is going through a hardpatch, having being dumped out of the blue by her boyfriend, so I went out with them to show my support for her and have a good time.

It's weird, how a bar scene changes when you're into someone. No one who is there, no matter how hot the guys might be, or who pays you attention -- nothing is quite up to the idea of 'him' being there. And you just wish he was -- it would just be nice. Comfortable. I dunno.

Anywya, I'm drunk. But it was a good night. I just wish he had been there.
OH...and WHY do guys think that grabbing your ass is gonna make you want to talk to them??? That is one thing I will never understand. God.
OKay, off to bed. Another race to be won tommorrow. :)

G'nite mes amies et amis.

Okay, all is well. The whole 'tick tock tick tock' crap is over. For now.

man, I'm SUCH a lame-o.

First race of Torpids tommorrow!! Very different mindset than last year....this year we're dressing up as pirates. Should be hillarious. :) Ah...the vodka 8.

Tick tock tick tock

Ever wish you really didn't CARE about something? Like, you don't want to care about it, and you're trying really hard NOT to care, but the more time you spend trying not to care the more time you actually spend caring about it....ARGh.

Anyway, there was snow on the rooftops today. And it's actually kinda cold. Am wearing my black winter coat today
BUT...is sunny, is that's nice.

Wow. Have been reduced to talking about the weather. It's a stall tatic.

One thing university is supposed to teach you is your own strengths and weaknesses.
Well, here is my weakness:
I SUCK at the waiting game. I seriously SUCK at it. There's no hope for me. It's just who I am.

In other news, I am entering week 3 of this cold. This is getting a little ridiculous.

And in other other news, it SNOWED today for the first time ALL winter. And WHY did it snow? On today of all days? WHY? Because I wore a skirt, THAT'S why. The ONLY day I've worn a skirt all winter - and it snows. FFS.

Anyway, back to work. Just had to vent for a little bit. Ah, the blog.

We have the beginnings of daffodils and tulips over here.
I've been monitoring their progress on my walk to school every day -- they're growing on the lawn outside Magdalen college, and there's a few more everyday.
My friend George says it's sentimental romanticism.
I just think they're pretty.

Two extremes last night.
First: hurt by someone I really care about. It sucked. I know most people ditch their friends sooner or later for their boyfriends/girlfriends...but I didn't really expect it so soon, and so harshly. Am a bit surprised how upset I actually am about this. A simple action -- but it cut in pretty deeply.

Secondly: Thank god for other friends, who, when one door closes on you (or rather, when one queue is too long), will happily go on an adventure towards a random night. Got in for free to a random small hip hop club cause the bouncer liked the look of us.....got into the VIP section of the club because we complained really loudly about not being able to use the sofas in hearing of said-bouncer, got hit on by an old man to whom we convinced that Linz was in a porn movie and that newfoundland has resident polar bears, realized no one knew us in entire bar so danced our asses off not caring, and then made friends with the bouncer outside the club -- no more cover for us ever. SWEEEET. Then, of course, the required Kebab.

A stumble home....a deletion of worried and anxious text messages I didn't feel like responding too....and an unhappy sleep.

And today...i get to read Darwin's entire Descent of Man. Ambitious.
:)
